British cars of the ’70s often received a bad reputation for being completely unreliable. While that was true in most cases, there were a few rides that stood out for quality. This phenomenal 1974 Jensen Interceptor is definitely one of them.
However, this beauty was far from a blue collar automobile. In fact, celebrities of the time went crazy for the Interceptor. Some of the names include Jack Nicholson, Rodger Moore, and even rock stars such as John Bonham, the drummer from Led Zeppelin, belong on this list. With all the power one might desire, stunning Carrozzeria Touring design, and the luxury interior, what’s not to like.
Despite the enormous Chrysler V8 engine, the Interceptor wasn’t known as a speed demon, and that’s where all the weight came into play. From the finest leather used in the interior to the steel body shell, this behemoth weighed like a tank.
Perhaps that’s the reason why is was conceived as a perfect highway cruiser. With all the comfort, epic Italian design and drop-dead gorgeous hand-made interior, this vehicle had it all.
That was pretty crazy. Wait until you see this next video below...
