James Stewart’s return to racing in the 2016 SX season has not gone at all how the two-time champion would have planned. He started off by wining the Red Bull Straight Rhythm in the fall of 2015, but things have gone awry since that victory over Ken Roczen. In his heat at the St. Louis supercross last weekend, Stewart was taken out by Weston Peick after they took different lines in a 90 degree corner. The crash was caused by Peick tripling in and Stewart  going double/single. There’s also a hard block pass by Trey Canard, and even a move up the inside by Josh Grant. Stewart plans to take the last three rounds of supercross off and get ready to go for the start of the outdoors at Hangtown.
