So, we all know that the Porsche 911 GT3 may be the best possible track-ready road car anyone could possibly want, own or drive. And not, in its latest iteration, this fascinating machine started its dance across the tracks all over the world.
Luckily, Jethro Bovingdon, from the Drive Tribe, had a go in one filming the experience and publishing it on the Drive Tribe YouTube Channel as a Fast Lap Shootout.
The results are awesome. Seeing this Porsche 911 lapping the relatively short Anglesey Circuit is a praise for your eyes. And not only that. This guy lapped it like there is no tomorrow. Updated version of the car is three seconds faster than what Chris Harris did some time ago with the pre-redesigned GT3 RS.
So, the latest car features quite an amazing four-liter six-cylinder engine for a peak output of 493 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque. It will rev all the way to 9000 rpm. Great!
Combined with revised Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s, updated dampers and springs, a different rear-wheel steering setup and a whole lot more aero, the latest GT3 is far more precise, hardcore and dynamic than any of before. We want a go.
