This video from Almaty, Kazakhstan showcases an unknown Tesla Model S feature that will serve well for when the world’s glaciers melt and flood a major cities. In this particular case, the Model S drives through the flooded underpass that has left other cars stranded. This feat is surprising given a fact that electricity and water are two things that don’t go together well. A water level surrounding the Tesla Model S appears to be high enough to cover a battery pack, which is located low in the chassis. And, impressively, this driver navigates around stalled vehicles and comes out the other side without succumbing to a water. The water that covers the hood on the front end of the vehicle is proof that the Tesla Model S has some serious wading capabilities.
